Dr Gérard Grobler
Dr. Gérard Grobler earned his Bachelor in Medicine & Bachelor in Surgery in 2011 from the University of the Free State. Following this, he served as an Intern Doctor at East London Hospital Complex in 2012-2013 and completed his Community Service at Knysna Provincial Hospital in 2014. During this time, he received his Diploma in Primary Emergency Care (Dip PEC) from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA).
To broaden his experience, he worked in various departments such as ICU, General Surgery, and Urology as a Medical Officer before becoming a Registrar in Urology at Tygerberg Hospital in May 2019.
In October 2023, he achieved his Fellowship of the College of Urologists of South Africa, FC Urol (SA) from the CMSA. Subsequently, in April 2024, he completed his Master of Medicine (MMed) in Urology from Stellenbosch University and has now returned to Bay Urology as a Urologist.
Dr. Grobler is particularly interested in oncology, reconstruction, infertility, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He continuously enhances his clinical and surgical skills by participating in workshops, courses, and ongoing academic training.
